Media Engagement Program








BHP Billiton thought that media is an important aspect to managed. It could serve as two sided knife if it's not maintained properly, good public relation could get you in right places, while bad public relation could destroy you. So in order to achieve the good media coverage we need to maintain our relationship with them at least to get them aware of our achievement towards the community improvement.

Media Engagement Program (MEP) is an annual media workshop program between the company and national journalists and media. This time the workshop held in the core of the operation in Central Kalimantan, so the journalists can have first hand experience regarding company's activity towards the local inhabitants.
